Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-06-24
By using PredictionTalk ("the site") you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the site.
1. What we are (and aren't)
PredictionTalk is an independent information hub about prediction markets — venues, oracles, events, and community discussion. We do not operate a prediction market, we do not accept bets, we do not hold customer funds, and we are not a broker, financial advisor, or trading platform. Anything we publish is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Always do your own research, and use prediction markets only where they are legal in your jurisdiction.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (18 in jurisdictions that require it) to register an account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet that age requirement and that you are not located in, or a resident of, a jurisdiction where accessing prediction-market information is illegal.
3. Your account
- One account per person. Keep your sign-in email and password private.
- You are responsible for what gets posted from your account.
- We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.
4. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Post illegal content, spam, malware, doxxing, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or threats of violence.
- Impersonate other people or organisations.
- Scrape the site at a rate that disrupts service, or attempt to bypass authentication or rate limits.
- Use PredictionTalk to facilitate illegal gambling in jurisdictions where it is prohibited.
We may remove content or accounts that break these rules. We don't pre-moderate — please flag bad content if you see it.
5. User content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting on PredictionTalk you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store, and distribute your content as part of the site (and via search engines / RSS feeds). You can delete your content at any time, after which the licence ends — except for cached or archived copies on third-party services we don't control.
6. Third-party links and data
We link to and describe external prediction-market venues, oracles, and data sources. We don't control them, we don't endorse them, and the accuracy or availability of their products is their responsibility. Prices, odds, fee structures, and feature descriptions on PredictionTalk are best-effort snapshots and may be outdated.
7. Disclaimer
The site is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for losses — financial, trading, data, or otherwise — arising from your use of the site or the information on it.
8. Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or the site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) €100. PredictionTalk is currently free — so in practice this is €100.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the homepage and (for opted-in users) by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the site after the change means you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the site's operator is registered. Disputes will be resolved in that country's courts, except where mandatory consumer-protection law of your residence applies.
